The trail goes around the perimeter of the lake, and offers panoramic ciews of snow-capped backcountry peaks. The trail begins at the west end of the lake. Several bridges cross inlets. The dense lodgepole forest offers good shade and the trail is excellent, following mostly flat terrain on a firm surface. source: fs.usda.gov
Follow Lake Mary Road to its end at Horseshoe Lake. There is plenty of parking here.
